“Beginning”

Three pīwakawaka move amongst the kōwhai, their restless flight marking a moment of renewal. The composition speaks to the cycles of change that shape both nature and our own lives, where every ending gently gives way to a beginning.

The work celebrates resilience, curiosity, and the courage to step into the unknown. Like the fantails themselves, it reminds us that new beginnings are rarely still; they are found in movement, exploration, and the quiet confidence to begin.
